Why we publish
Northfinch Press began with a simple idea: that useful books deserve to be beautiful, and beautiful books should be genuinely useful. We want each title to earn its place on the shelf through clear writing, thoughtful design and attention to the small details that make a book a pleasure to use.
We are an independent imprint, which lets us take our time. We would rather publish fewer books, made well, than many made quickly.

Clear, well-presented books on wildlife, science and the world around us, for reading, looking things up and returning to.

Creative activities that encourage discovery, imagination and learning, made with care for young readers and the adults who share them.

Straightforward guides to everyday interests, skills and projects, written to be followed and kept close at hand.
How we work
Every title is planned, edited and designed with the reader in mind. We pay attention to readable typography, comfortable layouts and accurate content, and we check puzzles, facts and instructions before anything goes to print.
Our first titles are in preparation. When they are ready, they will be listed on our homepage.
